Dropped off at an island somewhere for a chill day. Felt a bit like Robinson Crusoe, but at lunchtime the ship sent us a dinghy with a delicious lunch and fruits and cold drinks. It was great, and we also used this day to search the island for ocean plastic with one of the researchers on board from The Ocean Cleanup. He explained how you can see from the stuff growing on the plastic that it spent a lot of time in the ocean before it washed ashore. I want to learn a lot more about this in the weeks to come.
